In the ceramic industry, Herding covers the entire process chain in manufacturing of fine ceramics, heavy clay ceramics, technical and high-tech ceramics, sanitary and crockery ceramics, as well as the refractory sector.
The core of the technology is the on-line cleaned Herding® sinter-plate filter. The filter element consists of a sintered rigid polyethylene (PE) body. A PTFE-containing coating guarantees an effective product separation – the pure surface filtration. The coating is firmly embedded into the surface pores of the homogeneous rigid body. It is therefore not a sensitive membrane, but a microporous and hydrophobic coating.
This unique outstanding technical feature, the rigid matrix of Herding filter systems ensures a high service life and clean gas values below 0.1 mg/Am³. Thus, the Herding® sinter-plate filter based on pure surface filtration not only protects man, machine and environment, but enables constant operating conditions and ideal laminar flow. Energy-efficient recirculation is also possible with abrasive and ultrafine quartz dust.
In addition, contamination-free and complete product recovery can be guaranteed by the fiber-free filter element.
