Multi-stage thermal treatment sterilizes product

Dinnissen Process Technology has developed an extremely effective thermal treatment for feed, pet food and food: the thermidor-System. It reduces the population of microbes by 99.999%.

Multi-stage thermal treatment solution

Preventing contamination (e.g. Salmonella) is of utmost importance when processing feed, pet food and food. A few years ago Dinnissen Process Technology introduced their Thermidor-system: a multi-stage thermal treatment solution, as the most effective way to sterilize product while maintaining product homogeneity. It reduces the population of microbes by 99.999%.

Not using acids and chemicals

Today, most producers prefer this thermal treatment by steam injection over liquid treatments with acids and chemicals. The main reason for this is that chemical treatments leave traces of chemicals (e.g. chlorine with it specific smell) in the product. Additionally, these liquids can change the structure of the product and lead to segregation of the product.

The Thermidor-system ensures that product composition remains perfectly homogeneous after cooling, heating and drying. This way producers can guarantee their customers that their product is safe and of the highest quality.

The Dinnissen Engineering department developed a micro dosing system with an accuracy of 1 gram for batch-weighing or continuous weighing. Customers in the powder processing industry are constantly increasing their quality standards. As an engineer-to-order company with 45 Engineers, Dinnissen is capable of translating the biggest challenges into technically advanced and robust solutions. A good example is the recent innovation of the feeder valve. The original feeder valve is combining a very wide dosing range with short dosing time with a dosing accuracy of 100 gram. This dosing accuracy is sufficient for powder processing. Recently we received an inquiry for a specific application with a much higher dosing accuracy. The Dinnissen Engineering department developed a micro dosing system with an accuracy of 1 gram. The application can be for batch-weighing or for continuous weighing (loss in weight) for processing of vitamins, probiotics, premixes, minerals, milk powder, cacao powder, creamers, sugar, whey powder, lactose and infant formula.
