Accessory ”vibration damping device” for MOLOSroto level switches from MOLLET
The handling of bulk goods requires a special task, as the discharge of the product out of silos and bins does not happen automatically caused by gravity. The product in storage silos or bins has to be made flowable, as many bulk goods can not flow out through the practicable and appropriate discharge cross-sections. Therefore the connection of fiber, parts and particles has to be loosened by the influence of forces. Depending on product characteristics, working environment and applications external silo vibrators or rappers are used often as suitable discharge systems.
These discharge systems cause heavy vibrations mainly in the lower section of silos and bins. These vibrations are a large problem in particular for the level measurement devices used as empty- or demand detector. Primarily the electronics of these level indicators are damaged as a result. Especially for such a kind of application a solution has been searched and created by MOLLET. The accessory “vibration damping device” for the proven and reliable MOLOSroto level indicators decouples the metallic bond of control unit and process connection and mounts the control unit on an elastic elastomer. Thereby the partly massive vibrations caused by rappers and vibrators are damped and have a relatively small impact on the electronic. Therefore a reliable operation of MOLOSroto level indicators is guaranteed even in the case of heavy vibrations.
