On the one hand, the big bag emptying station is to be connected to a pneumatic conveying system for silo feeding. On the other hand, the station was to be used for dust-free filling of containers. And that without time-consuming conversion measures and under the strictest hygienic conditions.
To ensure high product and process quality during big bag emptying, an additional protective screen and a metal separator were integrated. Operation, inspection and maintenance of the system are carried out via a VA platform provided by the customer. The stable frame construction of the big bag emptying station is made entirely of stainless steel. A lifting cross is located in the upper area of the emptying station. With this, the big bags can be picked up by the operating personnel, lifted into the emptying station and brought into the emptying position. Walkers mounted on the side of the emptying station ensure that the lactose is discharged from the big bag efficiently and without residue. They also serve as fall protection for the big bags weighing up to 1250 kg.

Dust-tight connection
To create a dust-tight connection between the big bag outlet and the hygiene hopper, the big bag outlet is connected to an emptying hopper. For lactose emptying in hygiene-sensitive production environments, the funnel has been designed as a hygienic version. It is made of stainless steel and equipped with pharmaceutical-grade seals.
Hygienic funnel
To connect the big bag outlet, the hygienic funnel is opened with a hand lever. Now the outlet spout can be guided over the product guide tube inside the hopper. The hygiene funnel is then closed again so that it is dust-tight. The big bag emptying can now be started safely.
The emptying funnel and all other components of the big bag emptying station are easily accessible via the VA platform provided on site. For example, for taking samples directly from the emptying hopper.
