For a client in the chemical industry, Poeth’s team has completed a turn-key mixing line for solids, inlcuding liquid dosing. The mixing line consists of : - 4 pcs. bag dumping - 4 pcs. powder Z-Conveyors - 4 pcs. fine dosing feeders (accuracy < 5 gr) - 1 pc. pneumatic vacuum conveying - 2 pcs. weighing dispenging tanks, with steam addition and wall heating - 2 pcs. monopumps with mass flow meters - 1 pcs 250 ltr double shaft paddle mixer - steelstructure and platforms - electrical control with scada

More and more products rejected for reasons such as colour or overproduction are finding high-value applications as ingredients for new products. Fermentation is no longer the standard for many products. After a drying proces these products can be tested on Poeth’s own ATEX-certified grinding test facility. A wide variety of products have already been successfully tested for e.g achievable grinding capacity and fineness: * black soldier fly protein (insects eating from residual food streams). * extruded potato starch , derived from french fries industry * dried potato chips * dried carrot pieces * dried sugar beet pulp But also non food products can be grinded on the test facility e.g. * non-recyclable waste from consumer waste (fuel for power stations) * horse manure, usable as fuel * electronics waste => Printed circuit boards contain high-quality precious metals (gold, palladium, silver etc.)

VTTI Bio-Energy produces 23 million cubic metres of biogas. Poeth supplies pellet presses, coolers, conveyors, filling systems, silos, steel construction, etc. The company VTTI Bio-Energy will ferment 300,000 tonnes of manure and 25,000 tonnes of organic residues annually at the De Spinder business park near Tilburg and process the digestate into manure pellets. Annually, 23 million cubic metres of biogas will be generated. Of this, about 7 million cubic metres will be upgraded into green gas that will go to the gas grid. Manure pellets Much of the biogas is used to dry the thick fraction of digestate and concentrate from the thin fraction and process it into pellets. Annually, the company will manufacture 40,000 tonnes of manure pellets. The hall consists of three parts and has an area of 2,000 m² and will be 15 metres high. In the middle part, the digestate will be separated and the thin fraction purified into dischargeable water. Poeth builds a seed mixing line with a capacity of 60 m³/hour for Joordens Zaden. Through these custom-made double-shaft continuous mixers, intensely coloured fruit, vegetables and plants are homogenised into high-quality colour solutions, so that it can be easily pumped in the following production step. Extra attention has been paid to hygiene so that cleaning can be carried out optimally and easily. Special hygienic pumps are provided at the outlet of the mixers. The mixing process was extensively tested on site beforehand, as no experience existed from the past whether the principle was feasible for this application. Labelling The colour solutions are completely natural and 100% plant-based. They are suitable for vegetarian, vegan, kosher and halal diets. The food colourings meet modern consumer demands for transparent and clear labelling. The mixers are equipped with four CIP spray balls for cleaning. The ingredients are used for a wide range of foods and beverages, including applications for sweets, snacks, baked goods, dairy and savoury products.
